Senegal Nautique started from a simple idea: showing Dakar from the sea. We offer clear kayaking in Ouakam and Ngor, drone photoshoots, boat trips, jet ski in Mermoz and outings at Lac Rose, with a team of instructors who know the coast inside out.
Our story: an adventure among friends
Senegal Nautique was started by a group of friends who love the ocean. It all began on Ouakam beach, below the Mosque of the Divinity, with a few clear kayaks and one goal: to show Dakar residents and visitors alike that the best view of the city is from the water. The cliffs, the rocky seabed visible through the hull and the late afternoon light did the rest.
Word of mouth and social media quickly spread the news. In September 2025, RTS, Senegal’s national television, came to film a report on clear kayaking in Ouakam. Within a few months, Senegal Nautique became one of the favourite outings of Dakar residents and tourists, as La chaîne Offshore reported in May 2026.
To keep up with demand, we opened a second kayak base in Ngor and added jet ski in Mermoz, boat trips and drone photoshoots. On 22 May 2026, the business was registered with the Dakar Trade and Companies Register as GIE SENEGAL NAUTIQUE.
What we offer
All our activities can be booked by phone or on WhatsApp, and our bases are open every day, from 11am to 7pm.
- Clear kayaking in Ouakam and Ngor, 6,000 F per kayak, single or double, with or without an instructor. Paddleboarding and a cliff exploration to the Mamelles as options.
- Drone photoshoots in a clear kayak, for photos and videos seen from the sky.
- Private boat trips from the Port of Dakar or Ngor: Ngor island, Almadies, Mamelles, Gorée, Îlot du Serpent.
- Jet ski on Mermoz beach, from 10 minutes.
- Lac Rose on request, with kayaking and the water ball.

Our team of instructors
Behind every outing are instructors who grew up by the water, in Ouakam, Ngor or Mermoz. They read the sea and know the currents, the coves and the best spots to admire the seabed. They settle you into the kayak, show you how to paddle and stay with you throughout the trip.
Many of them also share their days on their own TikTok accounts. It is a nice way to get a feel for the bases before you come.

In the media
Two television reports have featured Senegal Nautique. The first, broadcast by RTS in September 2025, shows our clear kayaks in Ouakam. The second, made by La chaîne Offshore in May 2026, tells how this project among friends became a new tourist attraction in Dakar. Both reports are in French.
Our commitments
- Safety first. A life jacket is provided and mandatory for everyone. Children are welcome from age 6, with an adult.
- The weather decides. The colour and clarity of the water depend on currents and wind. When the sea is not right, we prefer to postpone the outing.
- Respect for the sea. We leave nothing behind, avoid touching the seabed and ask our guests to do the same.
- Clear prices. Our rates are shown on the website and confirmed before every outing.
